Founded in 2011 by Becky Erwood, The Missing Ingredient is a specialist consultancy for small and independently owned food businesses. Our services cover all aspects of marketing communications.
Becky has worked in the PR industry for more than 10 years. During her career Becky has worked on some of the UK’s best loved food brands including Marks & Spencer and Waitrose.
Becky has also worked in other markets most notably, setting up a food and drink division for New Zealand's leading PR shop running campaigns for brands such as Arnott's Campells, Marlborough Salmon and 42 Below Vodka.
At Waitrose Becky was responsible for managing the consumer press campaigns including the annual Christmas press show as well as delivering extensive product placement and feature stories for Waitrose product ranges and suppliers.
Most recently Becky has been working with Hill & Knowlton PR developing health and brand strategies for a number of well known brands.
Becky brings with her a wealth of contacts from the food and drink industry along with a deep rooted understanding of the food landscape.
We are here to champion the independent producer - the food entrepeneurs who have taken the bold step of giving up the day job to lovingly nurture a product or enterprise out of sheer passion.
